Currently, we are recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Contract Manager to support a major industrial megaproject in Boden, Sweden. This is a large-scale green industrial development offering the opportunity to work within a fast-paced and complex construction environment alongside international project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage site contractors from a contract management and administration perspective.
- Support Project Leads, Construction Managers, and Area Managers on contractual and commercial matters.
- Identify contractual and commercial risks and implement mitigation measures.
- Support the definition and implementation of contracting strategies.
- Process and manage Change Requests, Change Orders, and claims.
- Participate in contract reviews and support contract negotiations.
- Coordinate and align with other Contract Managers across the project.
- Ensure consistent interpretation of contractual clauses and change management processes.
- Support project teams regarding contractual correspondence and dispute resolution.
- Assist in identifying, analysing, mitigating, and tracking project risks and opportunities.
- Support lessons learned implementation and continuous improvement across contract management activities.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Contract Manager on major construction or industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of contract administration, claims management, and commercial risk.
- Experience supporting large multidisciplinary construction projects.
- Ability to manage contractual correspondence, variations, and change management processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive approach.
- Legal, commercial, or technical background with a university degree or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience on large industrial, EPC/EPCM, infrastructure, or energy projects.
- Experience working on Scandinavian projects is considered an advantage.
- Strong understanding of complex construction contracts and commercial frameworks.
- Swedish language skills are considered an advantage.
- EU working rights preferred.
