Currently, we are looking for an EHS Lead (m/w/d) for a Data Centre Project in Vaasa, Finland
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to project and company Safety Management Systems
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Environmental, Health & Safety statutory provisions and legislation
- Implement and maintain project Environmental, Health & Safety Plans
- Coordinate development of task-specific method statements, risk assessments, safe plans of action, and permits to work
- Monitor compliance with the project execution plan
- Track and coordinate project safety indicators and performance metrics
- Promote and maintain strong safety practices across site activities
- Conduct ongoing COSHH assessments and manage control of hazardous substances
- Ensure safety interventions are completed, recorded, and followed up
- Carry out regular site audits and inspections, documenting findings and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
- Maintain records of statutory inspections for tools, plant, and project activities
- Take a proactive approach to all EHS requirements on site
- Provide EHS input to site management and participate in EHS forums
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with project and group EHS policies and procedures
- Coordinate and manage site inductions and EHS training programs
- Ensure adequate provision and availability of PPE
- Deliver toolbox talks as required
- Assist with and carry out accident investigations, ensuring timely reporting and communication
- Ensure welfare and hygiene facilities are properly maintained
- Liaise with project management on all EHS-related matters
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for the project Safety File
- Support waste reduction and recycling initiatives in line with project policies
- Carry out any additional duties associated with the role
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety
- Minimum 7+ yearsย experience managing EHS on large-scale construction sites
- Experience working on Data Centre projects
- Minimum 5+ yearsย experience managing a team of EHS Advisors
- Strong knowledge of current EHS legislation and regulations
- Ability to manage all EHS aspects of a project efficiently
- Strong communication and IT skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and team-working skills
- Flexibility in working patterns where required
