Electrical Project Manager – Substation Project

Location: Fredericia, Denmark
Contract Type: Contract Role

SilverBack is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager on behalf of a major international client for a Substation Project based in Fredericia, Denmark.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a large-scale energy infrastructure project and play a key role in its successful delivery.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee construction projects from beginning to end.
  • Coordinate all design works and interfaces with third-party stakeholders.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with clients from project start through to handover, acting as a key point of contact for all stakeholders.
  • Arrange and chair the handover of projects from the estimating department to the construction team.
  • Liaise with the Project Director and Operations Director regarding project staffing requirements and agree recruitment plans for project staff and operatives.
  • Ensure quality control audits are carried out on site in accordance with the design plan, where applicable.
  • Hold weekly progress meetings with subcontractors and ensure that safety and training are regularly reviewed and discussed.
  • Support the successful delivery of the project through effective planning, communication, and coordination.
  • Maintain strong client relationships from project start-up through to successful project completion.

Is this the job for me?

  • Electrical Trade qualification through apprenticeship or an Engineering qualification.
  • Proven experience managing projects from initial scoping and resource planning through to completion and delivery.
  • Experience managing, coordinating, and developing project teams and staff.
  • Experience supporting a continuous improvement culture within project teams.
  • Substation project experience is desirable.
  • Awareness of BIM technologies where relevant.
  • Good understanding of engineering processes and industry best practices.
